I’m a freelance TV & Film Editor, Designer, Animator, Producer, and Director with over 26 years of experience in the media. I’ve edited programmes for most of the UK’s main channels (BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky) as well as Nat Geo, PBS and Discovery Channel, I also have many feature film credits.

Working professionally in all genres across most media industries enables me to bring a great deal of knowledge and experience to any production, and provide a full service for your desired output whether it be the streaming, web, disc, broadcast or film.

I have full 4K post production facilities, capable of most intensive film, video, and visual FX workflows and I can work remotely if you are based in another country.

Update: working remotely during the Corona Virus 2019 Pandemic is something you may need to adopt into your workflow – do get in touch if you have a project to complete but can’t travel or are in quarantine.

I spent a large part of my very early career from my teens as freelance Graphic Designer, producing corporate identity, logos and layouts for print publishing.

I still produce all manner of 2D Design and advertising materials such as books, DVD covers or high quality pitch and promotional packs for clients such as Bedlam Productions (The King’s Speech, Kajaki: The True Story)

At University I studied “Design for Film & Television” where I specialised in Video Graphics, Animation and Editing. Compositing using Quantel Paintbox and Adobe After Effects, and editing using linear suites and Non-Linear edit suites including Avid and LightWorks. I still do a lot of image repair work, removing objects and compositing.

As an offline editor, online editor, and colourist, I continue to work on all the latest NLEs such as Adobe Premiere (since 1991), Avid (since 1994), Apple Final Cut Pro (since 1999), and Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve.

I provide creative media services and also training for a variety of applications. In addition I can provide a technical consultancy service for troubleshooting, purchase decisions and workflow.

Some of my specialties include: Design, Direction, Editing, Animation, Teaching, Camera, DVD/Blu-ray Authoring, workflow consultancy, design and management.

Loud & Fast was a nickname I had bestowed on me during my ‘tweenties’ – I’ll leave it up to the reader to imagine why – and is my trading name for my freelance career.

Throughout my career I’ve worked with a huge variety of clients helping them tell their story, or sell their services. I work in almost every genre from Feature Films to TV Drama, Big-screen Advertising to Online Corporate Promos, Observational and Scripted Documentary to News and Current Affairs, and pretty much everything in-between.
